Mission Statement

We support individuals and families by enhancing their relationships, growth and learning, through the challenges of life, by providing educational and counseling services.
Our Guiding Philosophy

In every person's life experience there are ups and downs to negotiate and learn from. In every case, these experiences are affected and supported or hindered by the person's significant relationships. Change is a constant in life and when there are no secure relationships for the person to lean on during such times the changes can seem overwhelming. We, at the Green House Center, have dedicated our work to the support and healing of each individual who is struggling. We are convinced that as a person heals from their own traumas, their family and other relationships are enriched. It is also our experience that as their attachments to others (i.e. core family, friends, spouses, and children) become more secure and enjoyable, their quality of life overall increases. Obviously, when a person has experienced trauma or suffers from addiction greater support is needed. As Walt Whitman said, "No man is an island", and the truth is our happiness is almost always anchored in our relationships.
Methods

Relationships are varied and complex, consequently the clinicians at the Green House Center use various methods in support their client through healing. Among these widely acclaimed modalities are: Individual, Couple and Family Therapy, Sand Tray and Experiential Art Therapy, Play Therapy, and EMDR.
